Youth Center Metsäkartano is located on a peninsula of Lake Ylä-Keyritty, right next to Tiilikkajärvi National Park, amidst a landscape framed by ancient, gnarled pines.
Here, you can experience true silence, unhurriedness, and the enchanting nature of the wilderness. At Metsäkartano, nature embraces you right from the doorstep. Hike along nature trails, cook over an open fire, stroll along natural sandy beaches, or choose from a variety of activities. Enjoy the kitchen's delights and local food, dip into the world's cleanest waters, experience the gentle steam of the lakeside sauna, and fall asleep at the end of the day in clean sheets to the quiet hum of the pines.
Youth Centre Metsäkartano is one of Finland's eight youth centres, so by choosing Metsäkartano, you are supporting socially significant work. We conduct youth work with a big heart, aiming to offer both young people and adults broad perspectives on themselves and the world. We operate with respect for nature and the seasons, and there's always something to do at Metsäkartano all year-round. Canoeing, hiking, and cycling, as well as snowshoeing, skiing, and kicksledding, are just a few examples of the activities available in nature.
