In winter, you can also go cross-country skiing with your dog in Rautavaara. Dog skiing is allowed on the village ski tracks on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 19:00 to 21:00, and on the far section of the 8 km shooting range trail without time restrictions. When skiing, please follow all trail use guidelines and rules.

📋 Rules for Using the Dog Forest
The use of the dog forest is based on clear rules to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety:
Use of the dog forest is entirely at your own risk.
Dogs must have valid vaccinations.
Dogs must always be supervised by their owner or handler.
Aggressive behaviour is not allowed – dogs must behave appropriately towards other dogs and people.
Dog waste must be collected. Shovels and rakes are available near the fence to help with cleaning.
A waste bin for dog waste is located inside the enclosure near the gate.
